Wellness Arts Cafe Celebrates 2nd Anniversary with Paper Folding Exhibit

"PAPER FOLDED PAINTINGS", an exhibition of origami tessellations and cut paintings by Patricia C. Coleman opens Friday, October 4th, 2013 in conjunction with the 2nd Anniversary Celebration.  The Opening Reception is 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the Wellness Arts Gallery located in Patricia’s Wellness Arts Café at 725 West Kirkwood Avenue at the Western entrance to the BEAD (parking lot to the east and on street).  Exhibit runs through October 30th, 2013.
The evening will feature paper folding demonstrations, musical performance by Janiece Jaffe and Curtis Cantwell Jackson, the Herbal Table, sale on all herbal teas and jellies, gift basket drawing, discount on holiday gift certificates and more.  Free thank you gift for every visitor! 
On Friday, October 18th join us for Artist Talk and Paper Folding Demonstration with Patricia, between 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Patricia C. Coleman is an artist working in a variety of media; she says that the idea always determines the materials to be used.  An exhibiting artist since the 1970’s as a painter, doll and mask maker, art quilter, fiber explorer through non-toxic and low impact dye arts, printmaker and paper arts including bookmaking; she is also a writer/poet and member of 5 Women Poets, the Bloomington Storytellers Guild, Writers Guild, an Energy Healer practicing Reiki, Reconnective Healing, Light and peace work.  She is a lover of many styles of music and says that music moving within allows her to dance.

Patricia is also very passionate about foods, from growing and sustainability to cooking of delicious artful meals and treats, reflected in her coffee, herbal and beer jellies and baked creations.

As owner of Patricia’s Wellness Arts Café & Quilter’s Comfort Teas she creates a space to share her and others artistic creations.

A primary life goal is to be present in her life journey, to allow ideas to playfully breathe through her manifesting themselves as joyful uplifting imagery/energy creations.  She sees her work as a discussion about feelings; visual song, and of her personal journey contemplating the vibrational nature of the energy body with intention is to hold love and manifest joyful vibrations into whatever she does.  You can learn more about the artist at http://www.hartrock.net.


The Wellness Arts Gallery features the work of local artist, craftspeople and creative people from across the earth.  Open Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm; Saturdays, 12 pm to 5 pm, Sundays 1-4 pm with BAKE SALE and every first Friday1- 8 pm.
